This optional unit can be attached by a threaded coupling to the power input hub of the PTS. Input power for the sensor is supplied by four AA 1.5 Volt alkaline batteries. Normal battery life is 4 to 6 months. This battery unit can also be used as “backup” power when the sensor is operating on AC power.
