Services & Repairs

If maintained, any SPY Model unit will offer you years of dependable operation. Regular care and maintenance of the unit is a requirement of good quality management practices. The Engineering Department at Pipeline Inspection Company recommends once per year recalibration of our holiday detectors and jeep meters, based on industry practice and our statistical analysis and historical calibration data.

Calibration

SPY Holiday Detectors and Jeep Meters do not tend to drift, however calibrating them annually helps to comply with directions from ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, MIL-STD-45662A and similar standards and to ensure that items are in-tolerance during use.

Recalibration of our products should be performed only at our factory or Authorized Service Center due to unique calibration process and test equipment utilized.

We encourage our customers to establish a calibration intervals plan, based on our recommendations or in-house engineering reviews to reduce down time and the risk of injury to personnel or damage to equipment.

Service & Repairs

ATTENTION! SPY equipment does not contain any user-serviceable parts; your warranty will be voided if the SPY® unit is opened by anyone other than a SPY® Authorized Service Center or SPY® manufacturing facility.

Service Form

For accurate and timely processing of your equipment service please fill out this online service form and press Submit, print the email confirmation sent to your email address and pack it with your SPY equipment.

NEW-If you are in a rush to get your equipment back in your hands and on the job SPY now offers expedited Repair & Calibration service, for an additional $125 (per unit) we will calibrate/repair your SPY equipment and have it ready to ship back to you within 24-48 hours after it arrives at our facility (payment or PO must be issued when we are ready to ship or it may delay shipping). When you fill out the service form on this page choose Expedited Repair & Calibration or Expedited Calibration Only in the drop down menu of the “Services Needed” section.

To ensure your SPY equipment arrives with no unintended damage please pack the SPY equipment well.
Please fill out and submit the online form and then print the email that is sent to you for that service form and send it with your SPY equipment.

International Customers

For the location of an International SPY® Authorized Service Center near you please use our Distributor Locator and look for the Authorized Service Center nearest to your location. Not all Distributors are Authorized Service Centers so expand the search range if you do not see one or call our manufacturing facility at 713-681-5837 for assistance.
